Dove's 'Beautify' app tricked air-brushers into downloading it under the premise it would make their job easier, when in fact it did the opposite - reverting the pictures back to their un-edited state.

This was part of Dove's ongoing campaign to promote real beauty

WHEN WILL YOU DIE? - Diesel's 'Time To Live' campaign

Diesel have launched a site http://www.diesel.com/daystolive/ which allows users to calculate how long they have to live by simply answering a few questions
The site encourages those who use it to 'waste time more bravely' and allows users to shop the collection featured in the backdrop of the questionnaire on various models.
Note that this is considered more of a direct marketing campaign than PR.

'PUSH TO ADD DRAMA' sequel

The infamous TNT 'Push To Add Drama' stunt has been recreated in the Netherlands to launch the channel.

This time the public have been placed directly in the drama!
Enjoy!

Details of the original stunt can be found using the link below

Live Young, Evian

Evian have introduced adult-sized playgrounds which pump out more snow
depending on how playful you are.

There main aim is to bring out the child in all of us.

The stunt created by Havas is located in Canary Wharf, with a see-saw being added to Finsbury Avenue Square on Wednesday

“Anyone at any age can Live young – it is a state of mind and an attitude to life. Evian’s giant playground installations are the perfect way to help stressed workers get in touch with their ‘Live Young’ spirit by letting go and having fun. For those who won’t be able to make it to the playground, our Facebook Live young hub will share a different way to Live young each day throughout January, as well as a fantastic competition to win a Live young Northern Lights igloo experience in Lapland.”
 - Laura Pope, Evian’s brand manager

2012 - A year in PR

Here are just a few of my favourite PR campaigns of 2012, ENJOY!

Unlock the 007 in you! – Coca Cola Zero/ Skyfall
Admit it, this indeed looks pretty damn cool. I’d definitely want to give it a go.

Go Compare defaced billboards
Admittedly, I was one of the many publics fooled into believing that some genius had graffitied the billboards of the most irritating advert around. Turns out it was a stunt penned by Carat as part of the brands plan to kill of the character.

Ich Liebe Es! McDonalds ‘My Burger’ campaign
Germany encouraged members of the public to create their own burger that would be sold in their restaurants to celebrate the brands 40th birthday.
45,000 burgers were created within the first seven days and was the   most successful individual McDonalds campaign.

Push to add drama – TNT
Members of the public were invited to press a button, which, unbeknownst to them, set of a chaotic and entertaining chain reaction. This stunt was created to emphasise the launch of TV channel TNT in Belgium.

How far will you go for free food? - Fantastic Snacks
Pretty far I’d say. Members of the public were put to the test by a vending machine that challenged them to see how hard they would work for free food.

Dead Man Walking – The Walking Dead
Earlier this year promoters of the new series of The Walking Dead let a zombie loose in a cinema full of unaware victims. Seems I’m the only one who would run for my life in that situation.
