Here are just a few of my favourite PR campaigns of
2012, ENJOY!
Unlock the 007 in you! – Coca Cola Zero/
Skyfall
Admit it, this indeed looks pretty damn cool. I’d
definitely want to give it a go.

Go Compare defaced billboards
Admittedly, I was one of the many publics fooled into
believing that some genius had graffitied the billboards of the most irritating
advert around. Turns out it was a stunt penned by Carat as part of the brands
plan to kill of the character.
Germany encouraged members of the public to create
their own burger that would be sold in their restaurants to celebrate the
brands 40th birthday.
45,000 burgers were created within the first seven
days and was the most successful
individual McDonalds campaign.

Push to add drama – TNT
Members of the public were
invited to press a button, which, unbeknownst to them, set of a chaotic and
entertaining chain reaction. This stunt was created to emphasise the launch of TV channel TNT in
Belgium.

How far will
you go for free food? - Fantastic Snacks
Pretty far I’d say. Members of the public were put to
the test by a vending machine that challenged them to see how hard they would
work for free food.

Dead Man Walking – The
Walking Dead
Earlier this year promoters of the new series of The
Walking Dead let a zombie loose in a cinema full of unaware victims. Seems I’m
the only one who would run for my life in that situation.
The creators of Marmite have unveiled a
bus shelter that allows the public to display their feelings towards the brand.
The public is encouraged to take upload photos demonstrating their love/hate
for Marmite. The photos are then projected on the billboard – pictured
above.
The booth stationed at London’s Oxford Street will be
active until 15th Dec.
